Intermediate & Acute Care Trauma Nursing Education 2026
Excellence in trauma nursing contributes to optimal patient outcomes and the prevention of complications. The purpose of this course is to provide RNs with evidence-based core knowledge, assessments, and psychomotor skills in managing injured trauma patients. The education reinforces a systematic and standardized approach to trauma teamwork, communication, and collaboration. The course will encourage and empower nurses to apply knowledge, critical thinking, and hands-on training to provide expert trauma care.
Target Audience
Acute care nurses who participate in the care of the trauma patient in the in-patient care setting.
Learning Objectives
After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:
1|Demonstrate orthopedic interventions.
2|Describe components of spinal injury assessment interventions, including neuro assessments.
3|Perform pulmonary interventions.
4|Identify pain management interventions for substance withdrawal.
