Objectives

After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:
1. Describe the roles of the members of the healthcare team in their respective responsibilities for quality care.
2. Demonstrate the process of obtaining informed consent using the teach-back method.
3. Describe the teach-back method for consenting research participants
4. Explain the 3 criteria for obtaining legally effective informed consent.
