Target Audience

This course is designed for physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, medical students, residents, interns, RN’s, LPN’s and Medical Assistants in the Western MA / Northern CT community.

Learning Objectives

After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:

  1. Identify wounds that require offloading.
  2. Identify normal and abnormal healing of a wound.
  3. Understand the steps to a comprehensive care process.
  4. Identify patients at that are at risk for chronic wounds.
  5. Understand wound dressings and why we select a certain types of dressings.
  6. List the various types of offloading devices and techniques.
